Why thyroid problems are missed

Each symptom on its own is common and non-specific — tiredness, weight change or low mood can have many causes. When to see a doctor

See an endocrinologist if you have multiple ongoing symptoms, a neck swelling, an abnormal thyroid report, thyroid problems during pregnancy, or if you're already on thyroid medicine but still don't feel well. Getting the diagnosis and dose right makes a genuine difference to how you feel day to day.
